Presto #2: Education at the end

In 100 words or less, these posts offer quick, potentially magical, fixes – presto!

The first thing will be the main thing in the mind of most readers. They presume a singer-actor specializes in vocal performance and a conductor-composer prioritizes their work on the podium. In your bio, discourage readers from inferring you’re an “artist in training” by discussing all educational activities, including completed ones, at the end of your bio or resume. Open with who you are and what you do followed by performance activities and professional achievements. End with degrees, training programs, teachers, coaches, etc. Many musicians will omit these altogether after early career stages.

This recommendation applies for current students, too.
